Glendalough Day Trip

Hello everyone! My name is Gabrielle and I am interning with Murieann at Terenure Community Support & Integration this summer. I am from Orange County California and attend the University of California, Santa Cruz. This is my first time in Ireland and I am excited to get to be a part of the community for the summer! This past sunday we had our second group outing of the summer and enjoyed a great day trip to Glendalough.

We got lucky with beautiful weather which made conditions perfect for our day out. More than 20 of us completed the 2 hour 5km scenic trek above the lake overlooking the lakes and greenery below, while the other part of our group opted for a fun, relaxing day by the water. My favorite part was definitely the view at the peak of the hike and how lush the hills were, it made all the steps well worth it.
