Last Summer session of the Terenure Community Playgroup…we’ll be back
Today August 10th was our last session of the Summer and oh what fun it was. We had bubbles, face painting, treats and dress-up. One of our regular participants turned the big 2 today and we wished her happy birthday. Here very kind mum baked a delicious cake and treats and we all sang Happy Birthday.
We will be taking the next few weeks to give all the toys a deep clean. Toys are routinely inspected and cleaned each week but we like to do a deep disinfectant of everything several times per year.
We will be replenishing some stock of items that are worn out or in demand so that we have new and exciting toys for when we start back.
I wanted to say a big thank you for the community’s generous donations of the sit-in Fire Engine and Toy Hot Dog cart which is brilliant for imaginative play and a revival to the popularity of the toy cooker.
We will be starting back for more fun activities on September 7th and very much look forward to seeing you then.
Also from September we will be trialing the introduction of more Irish into our playgroup environment. On September 21st a friend who is a representative of Glór na nGael will be with us which will be especially fun at story and song time. I will keep you all informed closer to the time.
Thanks again for your continued support and I look forward to seeing you and your smallies again in September.
