Update on Eaton Square Park rewilding biodiversity space

Latest update is we have been very busy working on all things administrative and are delighted to announce from September we have our public liability insurance and we intend to start of schedule of public events.

In the meantime the grass has grown in our rewilding space and for the most part it is a monoculture of rye grass. Rye grass is very hardy and does not make space for other plants to survive easily. We are operating a no-dig site so in the next couple of weeks you will see the arrival of rain soaked (thank-you July weather) biodegradable cardboard with top soil, mulch and organic compost spread on top. This will enable us to start our public events and planting from September. If anyone has peat free compost they would like to donate you are most welcome to get in touch via email at terenurecsi@gmail.com.

In addition to the above, some of you may have noticed the foxgloves and forget me nots still in bloom enjoying the rain drops and shade from the prominent lime tree at the centre of the site.
