Terenure Youth Group - It’s official. Next dates December 8th and 15th

We were delighted to be able to finally open the Terenure Youth Group on November 10th. There was a huge buzz with 41 young people in attendance to see what the club is all about.

We played physical fun ice-breakers involving paper aero planes, Maltesers, jam jar lid air hockey and more. We also had Michael holding fort in the science buzz corner as well as loads of baord games to encourage interaction.

We have six great volunteers who have all been through child protection training, starting a new club Foroige training as well as garda vetting. We will continue to learn from and develop our relationship with Foroige. New volunteers are always welcome. Our existing volunteers all have varying interests including hip-hop dancing, film production, arts and crafts, STEM, environmental projects and much much more. However, the youth club is not our club it is the young peoples’ club and we will continually support them in shaping the club and its activities.

Second night I am happy report was also a success with lots of smiling and laughing, lower numbers which was to be expected after the whirlwind of the first night but still the same level of fun was had by all.
